How to get skins on Valorant

Valorant is a tactical first-person shooter released in 2020. The player forms a team with four other players to battle five enemies in the game. Each player controls a unique character with special abilities that can aid the team’s strategy in a variety of ways.

On Valorant it is possible to obtain different cosmetic items that change the appearance of your in-game objects. Keep reading to learn more about how to get customizations for your gear in this game.

The cosmetic add-ons that the player can obtain in the game have no effect on the overall performance of the gameplay. They simply change the graphics of specific articles or the layout of the player’s account on Valorant.

The enhancements can be changed and enabled in the collection tab of each player. There are different levels of skins that bring recolors or complete changes to the layout of weapons, as well as charms called gunbuddies that can be attached to them.

There are also sprays, which can be used during each play round and come with visual and sound effects. Finally, there are player titles and cards, which alter the appearance of a player’s profile or loading screen between matches.

We’ll go over all of the different ways you can get these cosmetic changes down below.

Valorant Points

Valorant Points (VP) are the premium in-game currency that can be used to unlock content – such as cosmetic modifications or Radianite Points – through the store.

They are usually purchased with real money within the game client. The store has daily and weekly offers of bundles and skins that can be bought with VP.

Radianite Points

Radianite Points (RP) are the other in-game currency that allows the player to increase their arsenal and the skins they already have. The player can use them to add special effects and variants of skins bought from the store.

RP can be obtained through the trading of VP.

Battle Pass

Through the seasonal Valorant Battle Pass, each player can unlock different skins and effects though missions that grant them experience points. The pass has a free track and a premium payed one that can be bought with Valorant Points.

The players can earn more XP by playing eligible game modes and raise up in tier so that they can get more rewards.

The Contracts are a set of challenges in Valorant that can change according to each character (Agent).

Each one of the game’s Agents have ten contract tiers. When completed, they reward the player with special items like skins and sprays, in addition to a new Agent after a certain level.

Overall performance in-game can influence whether or not a player can obtain free skins via Battle Pass missions and Contracts, for example.

So if the goal is to obtain more free skins, the focus should be on progressing well through the game while earning the most XP within each gameplay.
